Please be sure to print it out in color as it will be helpful when reading the pattern.
Sewing machine and all necessary notions
Sturdy pins and Wonder clips are very necessary for success with this bag
If you have 90/14 sewing needles, please put a new one on your machine. Some of the seams
will be thick and the larger needle will help.
** See Supply Requirements chart on Page 2 of your pattern for everything required to make the
Holland Duffle. If you would like your interior corner bindings to match your lining fabric instead
of your accent fabric, add an additional 1/4 yard to lining fabric amount- 1 1/4 yard
** SOFT & STABLE is suggested, NOT batting. You can purchase it ahead of class at the shop.
** Please, choose NON-DIRECTIONAL fabric for your first project. Have fun choosing three
coordinating fabrics for your duffle.
** You have the choice of using 1” wide nylon or cotton webbing alone for your handle or using
1” nylon webbing and covering it with your accent fabric. Either way will work so it’s up to you.
Covering the handle webbing does require a little more work.

** Come to class with the following:
Refer to page 3 of your pattern and cut out all pattern components as specified EXCEPT FOR
THE FOLLOWING ADJUSTMENTS:
For your handles- if you will be covering the webbing with accent fabric, cut the handle fabric 3”
x WOF
For the interior Boxy Corner Bindings- if you want them to match your lining fabric, cut the
pieces from lining fabric instead of Accent Fabric
* THE LAST PAGE OF THE PATTERN HAS LABELS TO PIN/CLIP TO YOUR FABRIC PIECES
AS YOU CUT THEM. THEY WILL BE YOUR FRIEND. USE THEM.

** YOU MUST COME TO CLASS WITH THE BAG PANEL QUILTED AND TRIMMED TO
24X34. THIS IS THE SIZE AFTER QUILTING. PLEASE REFER TO THE PATTERN FOR THE
STARTING SIZE.
ALSO QUILT AND TRIM THE TWO OUTER POCKETS TO 7 1/2 x 5 1/2
Everything else will be done in class.
