Holland Pouch

If you’ve ever wanted to sew a project that you’ll actually use and is great for gifting, this is the project for you. No special tools are required, not even a zipper foot. Uh oh, did I just say “zipper”? Don’t worry at all, even if you’ve never sewn with a zipper before. This pattern is beginner friendly. Just make sure you’re comfortable using your sewing machine.

Please be sure to print it out in color as it will be helpful when reading the pattern.
Sewing machine and all necessary notions
If you have 90/14 sewing needles, please put a new one on your machine. Some of the seams will be thick and the larger needle will help.

Soft and Stable is suggested, NOT batting.
Please, choose NON-DIRECTIONAL fabric for your first project. Have fun choosing three coordinating fabrics for your pouch.
** Come to class with the following:
Refer to page 3 of your pattern and cut out all pattern components for the LARGE pouch. On the last page of the pattern are labels you can cut and clip to the corresponding component. It will help your keep pieces organized.
To save time in class, please follow instructions on page 4, step 1 & 2 of your pattern and layer and quilt the pouch panel. You can use a simple grid or get fancy with your quilting design. Whichever you prefer. *DO NOT TRIM PANEL AT THIS TIME* Panel will be trimmed during class.
